Alienating Parents

The Scheme of the Enemy: How the establishment is alienating parents

The “parental rights” debate rages as parents clash over school curriculum. Since 2021, school board meetings have become battlegrounds in the education culture wars ignited by the introduction of CRT, the LGBTQ curriculum, and the alienation of parents.

The Bible says that Satan is the ruler of this world—but whose end draws near. He operates through Hollywood celebrities, music celebrities, “woke churches,” politicians, and “progressive” teachers and school administrators.”

1. Culture war between parents and schools

The notion of “mothers know best” has evolved with establishing a structured education system, wherein “experts” determine what is best for our children.

However, these so-called experts have also assumed the role of shaping values and morals that often conflict with conservative Christian principles.

In 2017, the National Center for Education Statistics survey found that only 46% of parents felt that their child’s school communicated with them effectively. A similar report is shown in the National Parent Teacher Association. [NCES]

California Middle School “Secrecy Policy”

In 2023, a California mom, Jessica Konen, won a $100,000 settlement from Spreckels Union School District after Buena Vista Middle School transitioned her 11-year-old daughter, Alicia, without consent from her parents. [Washington Stand]

In 2018, Alicia sought counseling due to depression and stress. The school counselor was advised that her issues were linked to not being her “true self.” In short, she was encouraged to “socially transition” into a boy.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, Alicia came to terms with the fact that her true identity has always been a girl.

Spreckels Union School District implemented a “Parental Secrecy Policy” at Buena Vista, where staff concealed students’ gender identity confusion from parents.

Asserting superior knowledge over parents

In the USA, “rights to privacy for minors” are limited. However, some public schools have overlooked the legal concept of “in loco parentis,” seemingly asserting superior knowledge over parents. In short, they think they know better than their parents.

In 2024, about 4.7% of children are now homeschooled, and public school enrollment is declining. With the recent Diversity, Equality, and Inclusivity (DEI) ideology, left-liberals have targeted homeschooling parents, thinking they know better. [NY Post]

2. Alienating parents over gender ideology

Parental rights revoked

The story of Sage Lily Blair sets the perfect example of how schools alienate parents under the guise of ‘Gender Affirming Care.’

Sage had gender confusion and was bullied in school for using a male pronoun, encouraged by the school. Despite being a minor, the school administration withheld sensitive information from her mother, who had conservative views.

Sage ran away from home, was kidnapped, trafficked, and then sexually abused. The state took her away and even charged her mother with child abuse.

Instead of proper “family counseling” that reflects her mother’s Christian faith, Sage was alienated entirely by people who think they know better.

In 2023, the Montana Child Protective Services (CPS) sent a 14-year-old girl to Wyoming against her parents’ will for possible gender transition treatment and “top surgery.”

Despite objections to State Bill 99, which limits gender dysphoria treatments, the parent’s right was revoked in favor of the minor’s wishes. [WND]

After the Gender Equality Act of 2021, public schools began encouraging students to use gender pronouns. Others included LGBTQIA books not suited for minors as part of the curriculum.

Parents have been protesting over the distribution of these materials, with some lawmakers voicing support for parents to have the right to know what is being taught to their children. [Parents’ Bill of Rights Act]

3. Parents don’t have the right – Weingarten

American Federation of Teachers

In 2021, President of the American Federation of Teachers Randi Weingarten faced backlash for supporting the op-ed, arguing parents don’t have the right to shape kids’ curriculum.

In the same year, Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe said, “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach,” which Weingarten allegedly endorsed, according to Representative Jordan.

True, the parents are not tasked to teach in school, but that is not the argument. The core issue concerns safeguarding parental rights to question or object to specific teaching methodologies.

In a Congressional Hearing in 2023, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene rebuked Weingarten for recommending remote learning to the CDC, even if she does not have a medical degree.

She is also incapable of understanding parental concerns when kids are forced to stay home because she has never been a biological mother.

The effects of remote learning were catastrophic. It has increased suicides, gender dysphoria, and a lower literacy rate.

Randi Weingarten, who is in a same-sex marriage, advocates for an LGBTQ-inclusive curriculum, abortion for minors, and Critical Race Theory in schools. Her values are “red flags” for parents who bring up their children according to Biblical standards.

4. Shutting down parents

In June 2021, a parent, Scott Smith, was arrested at a Loudoun County, Virginia, school board meeting for opposing its transgender policy. His daughter had been sexually assaulted by a “skirt-wearing” transgender student at Stone Bridge High School.

The school turned Smith into a “poster child,” and what the National School Boards Association has since suggested could be a form of “domestic terrorism,” which is a white blue-collar male who harangues public servants, reported the Daily Wire.

Former superintendent Scott Ziegler was found guilty of the “rape cover-up” as well as retaliating against a teacher who disclosed mishandling of assault with a grand jury.

In 2021, Conservative commentator Matt Walsh excoriated the Loudoun school board for its gender ideology and accused them of being predators by allowing what are essentially pornographic books.

Earlier in August, the board mandated teachers and staff to refer to students by their preferred pronouns and that students can choose bathrooms and locker rooms and join sports teams based on their gender identity.

Hubris in an Illinois high school

A substitute teacher and parent at Glenbard North High School in Illinois spent lunch with her daughter, who had bouts of anxiety. Student Dean Debra Cartwright forbade the temporary staff from spending time with her child and said, “It’s unprofessional.” School psychologist Kathryn Maday concurred with the dean—”Let us handle her (anxiety),” Cartwright said.

Alienating the parent didn’t stop there; there was also religious discrimination. The parent asked if he could spend at least a minute to pray with her daughter. Cartwright and another dean forbade it—but he could do so outside the premises. Satan is working hard in the school system to get rid of God.

Implicit bias

Critical Race Theory is both dangerous and out of place in the school curriculum. However, discrimination continues to dominate America, along with an undeniable implicit bias.

The substitute teacher, who was also an Asian immigrant, was later fired by its principal, John Mensik, after the parent rebuked a security staff over a racially motivated dispute.

The security allegedly discriminated against the parent and his two kids, who attended the same school. Reasoning with Mensik, he said to the parent, “Don’t get started on that,” when the substitute teacher expressed his “rights as a parent.”

Studies are clear: Involved parents enhance the social function of children. Schools should be working with parents instead of alienating and discriminating against them. [AECF]

Satan is working hard in THE school SYSTEM.

Alienating parents in all corners

Laws alienate parents

In 2023, California passed a bill removing custody from non-affirming parents. AB 957 and SB 107 effectively prohibit parents from insisting on their (Christian) values to their children.

For example, parents cannot go against a child’s self-identified gender, regardless of their age. Failing to accommodate a child’s gender identity is considered child abuse under this bill. Therefore, the state can remove the child to “protect” them.

Liberals against homeschooling

The Bible commands parents to teach their kids according to the ways of the Lord. In recent years, homeschooling has increased as more Christian parents shield their kids from liberal indoctrination.

The National Education Association (NEA) resolution 2014-15 opposes homeschooling. As Christian parents choose to homeschool, government regulation may hinder teaching, such as creationism instead of evolution and gender identity.

In 2020, a Harvard law professor advocated banning homeschooling, and other experts frowned at the idea of homeschooling.

Clearly, the rights of parents are being taken away in all corners.

Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
