Christian authors like Josh McDowell and Lee Strobel were skeptics who wanted to disprove the resurrection. They applied historical, scientific, and forensics to prove it was impossible. Instead, they became Believers in Christ and wrote books that prove Jesus indeed rose from the dead.
How is it twisted? “The apostles hid Jesus’ body”
The Roman authorities did all they could to disprove the resurrection because it could inspire a revolution. They feared that the resurrection of Jesus would firm the divinity of Jesus.
Those who wanted to stop Christianity from spreading inspired and conspired conspiracies to suggest that the apostles stole and hid the body of Jesus.
Today, the same conspiracy circulates among mockers of Christianity and intellectual atheists. Proof of the risen Christ compels humankind to repent of their sin and follow Him. Otherwise, face the fiery pit of hell.
