WHY SHOULD I SUPPORT IT? Faith in the Judeo-Christian God is part of the Filipino culture. Christmas is defined as the birth of Christ and the Holy Week a solemn tradition. The law has provisions for the Filipino Values Month whose first pillar is “godliness.” Likewise, written on our currency bill is “Pinagpala ang bayan na ang Diyos ay ang Panginoon,” (Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord). We must protect our culture and tradition by encouraging the young generation to appreciate the value of reading the Bible.
