Another Canada Pastor Tim Stephens, Jailed For Outdoor Holding Service
Baptist Pastor Tim Stephens from Calgary was arrested a second time after a police helicopter discovered that his church had been secretly gathering since authorities locked their building.
Tim Stephens of Fairview Baptist Church refused to submit to authority. The pastor reasoned with the legal and theological grounds of Alberta’s public health orders.
The footage below recorded by Rebel News showed police went to Stephens’ house to arrest him for allegedly violating a court order by leading an outdoor church service with hundreds of other Christians on June 6, 2021.
Pastor Tim Stephens released after international attention
Stephens’ jail sentence at the maximum-security Calgary Remand Centre was extended to July 12. However, the court order was rescinded, the Pastor was released on July 1 as Alberta enters Stage 3 COVID-19 rules.
