“God’s Got My Back”: Forrest Frank’s Back Injury Miracle of Healing Testimony
On July 19, 2025, Christian pop artist Forrest Frank, co-founder of the genre-blending duo Surfaces, fractured his L3 and L4 vertebrae in a skateboarding accident while playing with his 2-year-old son Bodie outside their home in Texas. The incident—and his painful aftermath—was caught on video.
In his YouTube video titled “Broken Back Healed? (Full Story)”, Forrest narrates: “I was just pushing Bodie on his little bike, jumped on the skateboard, and slipped. I landed directly on my lower back and instantly couldn’t move. I was in crazy pain.”
Emergency scans confirmed two spinal fractures. Doctors placed him in a back brace and prescribed a long recovery. But on August 2—exactly 14 days later—Forrest woke up pain-free.
“I stood up, wasn’t wearing the brace, picked up my son, and just knew—something happened. I got another scan, and the doctor literally said, ‘There’s nothing there. No fractures.’”
“Did we just witness a miracle… or do I have the fastest bones of all time?”
“I believe God waited to heal me until the songs were written. It wasn’t just for me—it was so the testimony could reach people,” he said.
While confined to bed, Forrest wrote and released “God’s Got My Back” and “Lemonade.” The latter quickly soared to #1 on Apple Music across all genres. The healing and music sparked support and celebration from fellow Christian artists like Phil Wickham, Kari Jobe, and Tauren Wells.
