Biblical passages on Spiritual Deliverance and Warfare
Deliverance in the Bible is the acts of God whereby He rescues His people from peril, trouble or danger. Spiritual deliverance today has become a silent but thriving ministry that helps people be free from the possession or influences of demonic entities. Spiritual warfare is active and real.
Yes, it is Biblical
Christians who insist it is not needed because the devil is defeated has taken scriptures out of context or might as well have been deceived (1 John 3:8). Scripture is clear: principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this age, spiritual hosts of wickedness are raging against all Christians (Ephesians 6:12), but victory is ours in the name of Jesus (1 John 2:13; 2 Corinthians 10:4).

Christians cannot be possessed (but)
Although true believers cannot be possessed by demons (1 John 4:4), they can be influenced, deceived, or oppressed should a Christian give in to the lifestyle of sin, pride, or greed (Acts 5:3). A Christian may not experience the full joy of being a follower of Jesus if he refuses repentance and continues to embrace the lust of the flesh. A true Believer walks in the Spirit. (Galatians 5:16-18)
The church needs deliverance and to walk in the power and authority to heal the sick and cast out devils (Matthew 10:8).

New Testament Spiritual warfare and deliverance
1 Corinthians 10:13
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
1 Corinthians 15:57
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith.”
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
2 Thessalonians 3:3
“But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.”
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
