Pastor sees an angel after praying for protection from a demon god Degei
Dr. Richard Ing, the author of Spiritual Deliverance, has been involved in numerous spiritual warfare. He’s seen various forms of demonic oppression. In the early 1990s, he trained students how to cast out demons in a rural Bible college in Labasa, Fiji.
The pagan god Degei
The local pastor in charge of the event used to be a pagan witch doctor. He was a recent convert and told Dr. Ing that Degei, a supreme god of Fiji, still communicates with him.
After Dr. Ing’s message, the demon (Degei) told the pastor Degei would kill Dr. Ing. He took it seriously and prayed. “Lord, please protect me tonight,” he said.
What the angels looked like
Immediately, he saw a vision of a huge angel, at least 25 feet tall, by his cottage with a sword. It had enormous wings with feathers that were above its head.
The following morning, about thirty students claimed they saw a ring of many angels walking around the property, linked arm in arm. Demons were trying to get in but couldn’t.
“I saw an angel over 25 feet tall. His wings went way over his head and were enormous. He was so bright that I couldn’t look at him. All I could see was the pattern of the feathers at the top of his left-wing,” Dr. Ing said.
According to the Bible, angels can come in different forms, sizes, and shapes. They can appear as spinning wheels of light or as ordinary-looking people. They can be huge with wings or look like an older man or young child.
Dr. Ing said God is not slack when watching over His people, but when we welcome sin in our lives, it opens the door for the enemy. Sin allows for a demonic foothold that can break the protection. The reason we need daily repentance.
