Undeserved Miracles: True Stories of Dying Unbelievers Saved by God’s Mercy
God’s wrath rests on those who do evil and reject His mercy. Yet throughout Scripture, even the worst sinners—like Manasseh, the thief on the cross, and Saul of Tarsus—were shown grace when they humbled themselves before Him.
Still today, that same mercy defies human understanding. True stories tell of intellectual atheists, immoral individuals, and everyday people with no faith or knowledge of Christ who were shown mercy even if they sought little. God stepped in and healed them.
From Euthanasia to Healing: Bee Stings Heal Physicist Ellie Lobel
Ellie Lobel, a nuclear physicist with a PhD, was overwhelmed by late-stage Lyme disease and organ failure and saw no purpose in holding on. In 2011, bedridden and wheelchair-bound, she moved to California intending to die by euthanasia.
During what she believed would be her final walk, she was swarmed and stung by Africanized bees. Her caretaker fled; Ellie, expecting her allergy to be lethal, did not flee. Instead, her Lyme symptoms began reversing within days.
Though not religious, she described it as “divine intervention,” saying: “Sometimes the universe—or God, or whatever you believe in—steps in and gives you a second chance.”
After this miraculous recovery, Ellie researched bee venom therapy (BVT), developed her own protocol, and by 2014 had regained much of her health. She then traveled across the U.S., teaching Lyme sufferers, writing, and transforming her near-death experience into a mission of healing
Romans 9:15-16
“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy… It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.”
Anita Moorjani – Near Death Experience of Peace & Love
Diagnosed with terminal lymphoma, Anita slipped into a coma in 2006. While near death, she had a vivid experience of overwhelming peace and love—what she now describes as the presence of God.
Moorjani said, “I felt completely enveloped in a feeling of love and acceptance. I realized that I was part of God, and God was part of me.”
Before, Anita held no firm religious beliefs. Afterward, she rejected a fear-based approach to living and now teaches that divine love—not religion—brings healing and purpose.
Luke 17:12-19
Jesus healed ten lepers, but only one returned to thank Him, and he was a Samaritan.

Pam Reynolds – From Brain Dead to God’s Presence
During experimental brain surgery in 1991, Pam’s heartbeat and brain activity were medically stopped. Yet she reported that she rose from her body, watched the surgery, and entered a realm of light and peace. She later said: “I was in the presence of God… It was bright, it was beautiful, and I didn’t want to come back.”
Pam had no strong spiritual background before this. Afterward, she lived with renewed faith in eternal life and the God she encountered in death.
