What the Bible Says About Saints: Who They Are, How to Become One, and What Saints Can Do
1. Who Are Saints in the Bible?
In the Bible, saints are ALL believers in Jesus Christ. This means anyone can become a saint when they belong to Jesus. the bible consistently addresses entire churches (entire believers) as saints because God has set them apart in Christ, not because of moral perfection. In other words, sainthood is a present spiritual status, not a future reward.
Romans 1:7
“To all those in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints.”
NOT ALL VISIONS COME FROM GOD.
2. How Do You Become a Saint According to the Bible?
A person becomes a saint at the moment of salvation (when the person becomes a child of God by believing Jesus). God justifies the sinner by faith alone, declares him righteous, becomes his child and sets him apart in Christ.
Romans 5:1
“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
3. What Can Saints Do — and What They Cannot Do?
Saints have no power to mediate between man and God, receive prayer, or exercise spiritual authority. These roles belong to Jesus Christ alone—not to men, or saints according to Roman Catholic tradition. [Worship of Mary]
1 Timothy 2:5
“For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
